Car Radiator Fan

The car radiator fan consists of a hub with a pulley, to which the blades are attached. The fan blades are made of sheet steel or plastic. The fan drive has automatic on and off and is carried out by:

Car Radiator Fan Components:

  • gears;
  • V-belt transmission;
  • electromagnetic clutch;
  • hydrodynamic coupling;
  • autonomous electric drive;
  • viscous coupling;
  • friction clutch.

Where is the radiator fan located

The fan is installed directly behind the radiator. To improve the efficiency of the fan, it is sometimes stirred in a guide casing mounted on a radiator. Ha drive a fan takes 3-5% of engine power. A fan increases engine noise. Therefore, they strive to ensure efficient operation of the cooling system with minimal energy costs.
