The C7’s wheelbase was already a significant jump: 150 mm longer than the original 1997 A6, most of which went into rear legroom. On the C8 Avant specifically, cargo volume runs 565 liters (19.9 cu ft) with the rear seats up and up to 1,680 liters (59.3 cu ft) with them folded, and curb weight spans roughly 1,705 to 2,075 kg (3,758 to 4,575 lbs) depending on engine and equipment.
Ground clearance and overall height are also affected by the suspension setup fitted – cars with adaptive air suspension can vary height by more than the numbers above depending on ride mode. Take low-hanging trim like front spoilers or exhaust components into account on steep driveways or speed bumps regardless of which figure applies to a specific car.
